if you try to order a GT500 today it will be a 2014. not sure about the V6 or 5.0 though.

I believe the point was mine originally...I assure you I did not miss it. You're welcome to go back and read my original comment regarding the design/2years.

But all Ford has to "ride out" is about twelve months (not sure how they teach you to read calendars where you live, but where I'm from 12 months=1 year) before people are ordering 2015 Mustangs (new generation) versus 2014 Camaros (current 5th generation).

Now, if you're just counting model years, '13 & '14, then I understand what you are trying to say. But in that case, Ford has already "rode out" one year in that scenario, as that MY run is done.

Done trading barbs with you on the topic. I think we can say everyone knows when the next generation of the Mustang and Camaro will be coming, so any further dialogue is just cluttering this thread.
If youre so intuitive how did you miss that my edit was done after (see time stamp) your quoting me. My only change was to correct the word threw (autocorrect spelled it through). Yes I'm talking model years as I don't follow all the ins and outs of the Mustang. I was talking in totality not what's left of...

Glad you feel satisfied.

Looks like the zl1 had to deal with a damp track to maybe now "the pill" and his swallowers over at svtpp will stop using that as an excuse on why the Shelby got trumped so hard.

The GT500 lost because it had a constant head wind and the ZL1 didn't...

Watch the video of the GT500 and that will give a good reason why THE DRIVER could not get a decent time with the GT500. Getting in and out of the throttle constantly while in the middle of corners really doesnt help. LOL

I think everybody knows what happened and why. The ZL1 won this one. Its that simple, or is it.

They need to put properly off set wheels and wider tires on the GT500, get a Watts Link on it, and take some freakin' weight off the front.

As far as the Boss is concerned, the fact that the Camaro SS 1LE beat the Boss's time this year, means that Ford needs to put that Mustang chassis out to pasture and get with the times with magnetic ride control.

The Camaro's both ran great at VIR, and the Camaro SS1LE is a really great package for that car. Erik

Once again most of you the stuff you say is irrelevant since the current generation Mustang is on its way out...

It may be tired but its paid for itself and a lot of the new Mustangs R&D. Chevy was late to the party (5 years) so I would expect a reengineered chassis (zeta 2) to be better than one from a car designed 5 years prior. The 5th gen Camaro will have about have the life of the current Mustang before they introduce the 6th gen. If the rumours of a 2016 6th gen Camaro are true...
