My painted tail light bezels on IOM

A big thank you to Themossman who provided this DIY post on how to do this:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46729

I knew soon after getting my car that the chrome bezels around the tail lights just had to go. I first removed them and put black door trim molding in its place as a temporary solution. Today I painted the bezels and love this more permanent solution.

I used slightly different paints than Themossman did. I wanted a little bit of a shinier look than he did. I used Dupli-Color DS-104 (universal flat black) and Dupli-Color DS-125 (Clear top coat) to give it a little bit of a shine.

With Stock Chrome Bezels:

With door trim molding:

Abygale, those look great. I like the color they ended up. How hard was it taking them off the car?

It wasn't too hard. Capstone made a video on how to do it. It's either in this section or the DIY section. I did mine before seeing his video but did it the same way he did. It didn't take long but your fingers will hurt for a little while afterward

I agree! It would be nice if GM offered different colored bezels as an option, or at least made them available from the dealer. So many people seem to either prefer black or body colored

Great work - I like how they compliment the black Bow-tie in-lay and license plate frame - synergy is a great thing...
