Length and width of new Camaro?

Anyone have the specs on the new Camaro? I've always been a fan of small cars but really like the looks of this new generation, and I'm thinking of getting a Z28 convertible if it is offered in the furture.

No "production" numbers have been released...

But these are the concept convertible's measurements:
Vert concept (L, W, H) [in]:.....186.2......79.6....53.

You can't go wrong with a Camaro

Thanks for the specs Dragon, since I've always been a fan of small cars I was wondering how large this vehicle was going to spec out at. I understand none of the numbers you show are written in stone, but it gives me an idea of how big this things going to be. I'm hoping for a Z28 convertible, I know nothing been said about a Z28 convertible , I'm just hoping they offer one eventually, and will probably hold out for a convetible model at the very least.

I see specs for the Challenger have finally began to be published. Length 197.8, Width 78.6, Height 57, Wheelbase 116. In fact it seems to me I read it is actually one inch longer than the 300 that the platform is based on.

The Camaro aint gonna be small, but the base should have power to weight to rival the SRT8 Challenger. And the handling of the Zetas is supposed to be excellent

The Challenger is HUGE. I posted this on another forum I'm a part of (that's why I used the Stealth as a reference car )

2007 Magnum R/T L 197" W 74" H 58" WB 120" WT 4179 lbs RWD ATX
2008 Challenger L 197" W 75" H 57" WB 116" WT 4140 lbs RWD ATX
2008 Mustang GT L 187" W 74" H 54" WB 107" WT 3500 lbs RWD ATX

2010 Camaro* L 186" W 79" H 53" WB 110" WT 3600 lbs RWD ATX

1994 Stealth R/T L 179" W 72" H 49" WB 97" WT 3792 lbs AWD MTX

(*Camaro dimensions estimated from size of concept car, GM's public statements on concept-to-production size changes, and comparable dimensions of other Zeta platform GM Holden vehicles)

There's no good reason for the Challenger to be as big as a Magnum WAGON.

To anyone that thinks the Challenger will be a ton of fun, they are wrong. It's actually a bit over 2 tons

I thought from pics I had seen that it would be fairly close in size to my monte and my wifes gp, but its not, its a whole foot shorter(length), and 3 inches shorter(height). But its 7 inches wider(its going to be tight going in my garage!), and has the same wheelbase.

2002 Monte Carlo: lbs: 3395 WB: 110 L: 197 H: 55 W: 72 HP:200

2004 Grand Prix: lbs: 3484 WB: 110 L: 198 H: 55.9 W: 71.6 HP:200

2009 Camaro: lbs: 3600 WB: 110 L: 186 H: 53 W: 79 HP:400(please)

This news makes me VERY happy because if it has 400hp it will have twice the hp of these two and only weigh 200lbs more. As good of acceleration as those two get, and as well as the MC handles, this car should be a ROCKET, and handle like its on rails!

I still can't get over how wide the Camaro is supposed to be.

A Lamborghini Murcielago is 81 inches wide, and for anyone who hasn't seen one in person, that is a VERY wide car.

Thought just struck me...the Vette is only 72 inches wide....and I always thought THAT was a wide car. Dang!

Keep in mind that none of these measurements are set in stone - as they are of the concept cars - but still...dang!
