SUKXOST congrats on the order! I just put my own order in last Saturday. 1SS RS 1LE Ashen Grey. I've been looking at your posts with Becky and I'm in the same boat. Still no order confirmed. Only thing i got was # QPZR23. Not able to trace it on chevy.com.. Let me know how your status goes I'm dying to get this car by sometime in October before winter hits.....

Congrats yourself! Why not the 2SS? I love the Ashen Grey but couldnt get away from the white! I'm just going to go two solid weeks and then going to ask her. I don't want to bother her and I KNOW as soon as I get it confirmed at GM, I'm going to wonder when the next will hit. HA HA so, I'm going to wait until 14 SEP to ask :P Maybe by then I will just be surprised and have a TPWeek.

Same situation as you guys, I have an order #, but in checking with the dealer, no allocations released yet...so not sure how long this will take to get the Camaro now...will see.

Give you guys an update. I just called by my dealer and I have a lot more waiting. Placed my order July 30th, got my order # mid Aug. and just got word my build date is going to be OCT 15!!! After that it will be at least 10 days before the dealer gets the car. So I am looking at beginning of November before I sit in this car. Secondly, I agreed to 1.99% interest on my loan and they told me today they are doing 2.99% WTF to my dealer and I am on the fence to cancel this puppy and eat the 1,000 I put down. I am going to go home and study my contract because I feel like I was lied to about the order date and now they are tyring to squeeze out more money out of me with this 2.99% crap.

As far as the date goes, while your dealer may have taken your order in July the system didn't open up for orders until mid August. That's pretty much when most of us got our orders actually entered into the system. And I believe most of us also have a build week of 10/15 as this is pretty much the first production week of the 1LEs.

Now let's just hope there is no CAW strike.......

I put in my order with the dealer and had them submit it as soon as we were allowed to and I just got confirmation my Target production week is October 15th as well. Luckily there's no snow here, so no putting it away for the winter!

I don't see why you can't get your $1,000 back. Don't know about your state but in SC you can sign all the paperwork for purchase and even give them a big check but if you don't physically drive the car off the lot, it hasn't been sold.

I'd look into getting Financed thru a credit union or another institution that will give you the 1.99, If you've got excellent credit, that should be no problem. If I were you, I'd call back the Finance manager and tell him you decided to get financing elsewhere. That's a tactic they all pull, part of the negotiating process. Let us know how you make out.
