German engineering is far superior then the USA hands down..........

Pah, I think not.
But to stay ON TOPIC. Camaro looks better to me without a doubt! If I wanted a pluffy-roundy car like that, I'd get....well, I don't want one so I don't know what I'd get. |

Camaro looks way better. That's pretty for a BMW, but Camaro is superior. Now give me an Audi S5 and it might be a contest as far as looks are concerned.

Coming from a family of Porsche lovers (my dad did a ground up build on a 930) German engineering can be superior, but sometimes to a stupid level. I don't know how many times we had to make a trip to the dealership to by some special 'tool.' When the Germans could just use a nut and bolt they engineer a new type of fastener and a tool to go with it... and use it once, on one car, and come up with something completely different for the next model year.
My brothers friend had a 944 that needed a new clutch the same time as my '68 Camaro. Took me 2 hours to swap mine out, took him 3 days! You have to drop the rear end from the car to do it. (Given it is a 20 year newer car with a trans-axle) That said, the Camaro is much better looking than anything BMW has made. |

I think the Camaro looks more badass, the BMW looks classier and will most likely age much better. Also, the BMW will never have to make excuses for being retro. I think a choice between owning a 335i and a new SS would be very hard to make. |

Something to think about... this and the 135i gain about 90hp with JUST a tune.

That is a picture of a 335i, I think it looks great, but its starting to look dated. I was HIGHLY considering a mostly stripped 335i coupe manual or a mostly loaded 135i manual, but after doing 2 YEARS OF RESEARCH on 3 BMW forums, I am really upset BMW is making SO MANY cars that are having MANY problems with the N54 bi-turbo engine. 135i, 335i, 535i all having FUEL PUMP problems, turbo lag, etc etc.
I decided to buy a new Camaro SS manual because I think it WILL BE MORE RELIABLE then the N54 engine in BMW's. The new Camaro will have ALL the best things GM can do. |

Many are having problems without a tune. Some even BLOWING UP their engines. BMW is doing ALOT with computor programimg to find out if the cars had any mods on them, even if its taken off when going in for service. The new 29.2 program is NOW causing lag until 3,000 rpm's on the N54 bi-turbo engine. Also wastegate problems. |
