Thoughts from the experts!

I just recently purchased a 2010 Camaro SS/RS with a manual trans. I am considering several modification which will include a tune, Cold Air Inductions CAI, Stage 2 Cam. Because of budget constraints should I install Kooks headers with high flow cats and axle back Borla exhaust, or, eliminate the headers and go with catback Borla exhaust? All thoughts appreciated.

I would go with the kooks long tube headers, high flow cats

Headers all the way no question. Increases sound and performance (35-50hp)

A cat back is not going to do much to help performance. You will get a lot more out of the headers and high flow cats.

If budget is a concern, there are several very good headers for less money than Kooks. Kooks makes great headers but they do come at a premium, as do a couple of brands.

Excellent point. You can get a very high quality header for less money if you have budget concerns.

Headers, catback are a must. I would delete the cats. Less to worry about down the road.

Personally I had some budget thoughts in mind so I went with a set of TSP 2" headers, some bullet race muffles and a x-pipe with muffler delete all with the stock catback and personally love the sound and many have ask what type of cat-back I have and when I tell them they say WTF lol

I purchased OBX headers and you can get cats or cat-less mids. But they are identical to kooks without paying for the name. If you read reviews on here for them the only negative ones are people saying they are knock-offs. but almost all love them! I bought mine new for 450. Just saying

You'll need LT's if you are going to cam it.
I'd go catless too.
Get the stage 3, the 2 will get OLD in two months. Mark my words lol.

Ditto. Id do all the bolt-ons vs just doing a cam with manifolds.
