Rear deck were 6x9 speaker are, Rattles
Does anybody know how to remove rear deck cover, were the back 6x9 speakers are. That plastic cover started to rattle, I don't know if it comes out at all. The cover goes all the way across the back window.
It realey gets to rattleing when the sub system is playing. I was going to put dampping pad between cover and metal. Last edited by OUWAN12; 03-26-2013 at 12:38 PM. |

I layed fat mat on my back window and the rear seat and the sides and it eliminated my rattle and drone from the exhaust.

Dynamat, or whatever your brand of choice on the rear deck. Check this video for details. It is most probably the rear deck itself.

Thank you for the help, After I put the sub system in, thats when the vibration started.
Even with the sound system off, going down the road it still vibrates. Again thanks |

Mine didn't start rattling until after I put my sub in either. I thought that it was the plastic cover too. After I saw that video, I disconnected my sub and it was still rattling. I grabbed the speakers by the magnets (like in the video) and it stopped. When I replaced my speakers, I put a good bit of dynamat on the rear deck and it fixed it. YMMV, but even when I thought I knew exactly what was rattling, I checked anyway. Just food for thought. I hope you get it fixed - that rattle was the second most annoying thing I had to deal with.
