Go vinyl or go home?

So the gold needs to go on the front/rear emblems. Can I get opinions on whether I should go vinyl (gray - like CGM - hopefully) or buy the painted bowties and just replace both front and back? Who's done what? Preferences?????

well there are many options, vinyl is a good choice cause its going to be cheap in easy. ($10-20). lots of people make them ,they come in lots of colors. there are also ones with a carbon fiber look .

You could also go the painted route. Garys customs make some of the best ive seen.
he has alot to choose from
for both back in front they run right under $95 + shipping i think.

you could also go the diy route and try painting them yourself, which i will be trying to do in a few weeks . black inner red outer
good luck

I bought painted bowties from Garys Customz to match the body color of my car. I love them. They are much better than the stock gold bowties.

I got the drake front bowtie delete, before that, I sprayed them with the plastidip product, both looked great, about $6 a can at Home depot. If you don't like the outcome, it peels off.

Call me a cheap skate if you want but I went the the vinyls and they look great. I may or may not take them off and just paint them myself in the future but I am certainly not going to pay $100 or more for someone else to do it.

OMG! Sorry to thread jack but Darth_Emma those have to be some of the best photos of CGM I have seen!

Ok, back on subject...Vinyl cam come off if you don't like it or it doesn't match perfect. Paint is a little more permanent. I personally plan on getting some old Bowties from a scrap yard and practice before painting mine.

I bought a small roll of vinyl off eBay for like $10 and just did them myself. Vinyl is definitely good enough.

I went with 3M black reflective tape with orange trim DIY when the lights or sun hits it at certain angles it lites up white/silver and back to black.Night time drivers can really see you down the road. I did it for safety reasons because I was rearended before with a brand new car I bought on my way to DMV...Check out the front bowtie and LS3 also did the trunk rear deck lid (blackout mode)

Although you have a much bigger variety with vinyl and paint, I went with these...

Black billet aluminum inserts. I love how they look since they add a little depth.

AUS10BMX do those fit OVER the stock gold bowties? I've never seen those before used on this site and I kinda like them!

They replace the gold part of the bow tie.

Nothing against vinyl, but this just seemed a lot cleaner, and had more of a "stock" look in my opinion.

Heres the front also...
