Just got my car.

Thanks for the flip idea, a lot better. I've been searching the forums for a replacement mirror or some solution. I'd really like to add a back up cam.

The mirror (sorta fixed), the seatbelts (sorta fixed with the nylon solution), and the lack of push button start (guess I'm stuck here, but gd economy cars half the price have push button doors/start).. are pissing me off.

Thought I just needed to get used to these annoyances, but they really are designed poorly. Love the car otherwise.

Has anyone replaced their head unit with a double din (so you have bluetooth, nav, etc.) and put in a skinnier mirror? Preferably with homelink.

LOL, old computer, great. Should have been a newspaper. Anyway 6'7" 250lb, mirror eclipses everything. I use the reflections, on my hood from the stop lights, in order to know when to go. Yea I know, live with it. Please end this, someone, anyone.

that means that the mirror is 38.75% the size of the vertical windshield...
it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

I can't help but notice that you're holding the camera a little lower in the 'after' pic. Even so, looks like a notable difference...

I think for tall people, this could be a minor problem. I say minor because it takes nano second and no effort to move or tilt your head to check any blind spot....in this case, look around the rear view mirror

I'm tall (6'4") and yes I ordered my car without a sunroof, even though it's something I really wish I had.

I didn't even notice the mirror until I saw this thread. Yes, it's huge and does create a hole of visibility.

I have the seat all the way down to the floor, and slightly reclined the seatback. And when it's an issue, I move my head so I can see. Problem solved.

I can't see behind the car all that well either, but it doesn't mean I'm going to cut the roof off just so I can see.

there should now be a sticky on how to solve this "non"-issue.
