If I was to trade the Mustang in on a 1LE tomorrow, the order sheet would not have the sunroof box checked either, for pretty much the same reasons. Norm |

Am I the only one who thinks driving around with an open sunroof makes you look like a "bro"? I personally hate the sun and everything it represents. It ain't gettin any easy access to my car!
And I completely agree with the Z06 comment. As soon as I turn 50, that's going to be my daily driver. |

No sun roof for me, my head is within 1" of the headliner normally, for track days I have to recline a good deal.

Going to the track is a hobby for most. I compare it to people who jailbreak or root their smartphones. It's a hobby that not everyone shares. A sunroof or nav is not going to do a thing when you pass the asshole going 50 in a 65 zone.

Not quite but I do live in the valley of the sun. I'm one of those strange people who visits Seattle and is amazed at all the clouds and rain. I play a lot of tennis and before I bought my Camaro, I rented one from Hertz to make sure my mountain bike would fit in the trunk so I suppose I'm taking all this sunny weather for granted. On the other hand, drive down the road at 65 mph and point a hair dryer at your face. That's Phoenix in July and most of August. 110 when the sun is up isn't that bad but when it doesn't drop below 95 even in the wee hours, that's when I start buying plane tickets. Here's an image that I think sums it up nicely:

For the occasional track warrior, driver-mod is going to have a much greater impact on laptimes than a sunroof. Of course for the truly hardcore, ditch the sunroof, save a few ounces with cloth-interior, and become anorexic.

I hardly ever use anything but windows/sunroof. When I had my vert I never had the top up unless it got below 60 which is too cold. I am a southern guy and the heat doesn't phase me at all. I live for it. if it's below 60 I have a jacket and look like an Eskimo. you can keep that northern weather and Oregon/Washington rain and cold crap.

I don't like sunroofs on any of the Camaros regardless of trim level. It takes away from the look for me. Anyhow, I see the OP's point and it makes sense. I really think it would be crazy to have one in the Z/28. I didn't think it was available with one anyhow.
