ive seen 14's also. best ive run in my 1le is 13.3..and thats with mich. pilot super sport tires, i must say these new tires are great compared to the goodyears for a daily driver. its very hard to run a good time at the 1/4 mile track with these 1le's, it can be done with lots of practice.. i hear ya tho, it didnt matter the time i ran i had lots of fun and i kept going back..

"I had a blast !"

That is what 1LE translates to in all languages.

At LS Fest, the best my stock, other than CAI, could do was 13.8 at 101.8. I did have some tire spin and the driver could use work but was pretty consistent with my runs. 13.8, 13.9, 13.8. It was miserable hot wish it was 55 degrees.

I agree. Even though the 1le isn't built to be a drag racers (especially with my dog of a 1st gear) I desperately want to try it out. All we have up here is autocross, which is okay but not what this car excels at.

Need to practice launching the car, that's where you are losing time
. REMBER as it's been stated these 1LE's are are not drag cars. I'd be willing to bet that number will drop fast with a pair on drag type tires on the rear. research this form a bit ...

Did you try it with launch mode? :-) Also, I would experiment with tire pressures, burn out duration, and you can remove the front strut bar and maybe your rear seat to lighten up the car. But yeah, launching on our GY F1 tires is pretty much close to impossible at the strip. You will not get as good of a launch as on the street.
Now I need to get out there and see when she'll run!

Oh and be careful launching. I've heard our cars can tear up the rear axle shafts easily. Maybe launch control is not such a good idea on second thought...

See now, I've tried to use the launch control several times but it just winds up and up and up. I've been told it's supposed to hold it at 4,500 rpms?

I see more seat time in your future. I ran 14s to start with too and now have got down to 12.89. I think 13.4 was the best I ever did stock. Car really woke up after I added a CAI, LT's and tune. As said above some drag radials will help you significantly, but you need to practice launching the car again because of the setup change.

Don't mess with launch control, too hard on the rear end. A good driver with TC turned off will beat launch control and it's easier on the rear end.

All that said, I think I read it in someone's signature that drag racing is like sniffing glue. It's a quick high and every one is the same. Road courses are like white China heroin, every track/lap is different and the high lasts for hours.

Theres lots of good reading on this forum and some pretty knowledgeable people.
