I hope so, it sounds pretty good now, just can't get the tune with the limited Boston head. Can't wait. Think i'm going to order in the next couple weeks. Still have a lttle sound deadening to finish.

Gazoka, not rying to steal your thread. JBL has been around a long time, it should give you a decent system to build to later if you want more. Actually the only negative i've heard actually came from people that think what they like is the best and hell with the rest.
Short answer is yes.

The issue with the factory head unit is that it really never puts out a clean, base signal. No matter what you set the bass/mid/treble levels to, it always is applying a proprietary EQ curve to the sound. It messes with the curve as you increase volume in Boston equipped cars. Non-Boston cars are even worse as the head unit really messes with the curve. Check this post for more detailed information.

Reading that entire build thread is worth the time.

You could run either of the Infinity amps that I referenced, or you could try out the JBL GTO-751EZ (750W - roughly $240). I'd run everything JBL, but that's because I like everything to match (I'm a little OCD). Also, if you can get the MS-8 brand new for $410, it would be crazy not to do it.
