i hate to say it but gm needs to step their game up and both of these companies need to move south to a right to work state and dump the UAW
Ford took loans, but stock from Ford was never bought up from the company.

Another SA reader! Good to see. I probably spend at least two hours on that site every single day.

The Ford story as it stands now look to be one of the greatest turnarounds in the history of American business. The company is solidly profitable a year ahead of schedule and in an economy that is still on very shaky ground to say the least. A lot of people scoffed at the Mullaly hire because he wasn't a "car guy" but he is building a legacy as one of the greatest American auto execs EVER in less than four years on the job.

I can't wait till GM posts a profit at the end of this year.

Praying for Chrysler still though.

Awesome! Gm,Ford, and Dodge have really improved in the last couple years. One of the big advantages that foreign cars had over the big 3 was a high quality interior...IMO all 3 have nearly closed the gap.

Both gm and ford are putting out some nice cars. I do think that fords emphasis on tech will be a great draw for them. I'd like to see nicer interiors on more gm products.

Hopefully both have a long and profitable futures providing great cars for good natured competition for a long long time!
