It may be obvious, but don't forget to install the yellow front spring spacers.

I have used a u-haul on a few occasions not with the ZL1 but with similar vehicles and it worked fine. As long as you have a suitable tow vehicle it will be OK. use boards etc for the loading and unloading so you don't scrape the front splitter.

One big problem I had was with the surge brakes on the trailer. UHals don't use electric brakes but have a master cylinder with a deal that slides forward when the tow car hit the brakes and pushes the master cylinder rod in. When the trailer started wagging on me the normal procedure is to hit your trailer brakes if electric and the wagging will stop. With surge brakes when you hit the vehicle brakes it makes the wagging worse forcing you to let off the vehicle brakes which in turn makes the wagging even worse. Uhaul does make those trailers very heavy duty just because rental use by ametures can really be rough on them. They also don't like to rent them for someone to pull behind their truck. They prefer you to rent one of their larger moving trucks which will handle that wagging problem easily. When I towed it with that 442 W-30 I had to show them a Factory Spec booklet showing that car was rated for class 2 hitches. The big problem was the wheel location on the UHaul trailer primed it for wagging. I have a feeling they moved the wheels forward to compensate for the heavy tounge weight with the surge brake set up. Also I had never used surge brakes and they never told me this, but when you back up, the surge brakes automatically apply. You are supposed to put a pin in to disable the brakes if you back up. I had to stop at a friends cabin in hilly southern Indiana and the driveway was a half mile long with no where to turn around at the bottom of the hill so I had to back up that trailer loaded with a bunch of 442 parts, plus a 67 Stationwagon. A half mile in reverse with the trailer brakes on, up a steep hill on gravel! That 442 was the best truck I ever owned! Hehehe! She grunted and growled all the way up that hill and made it no problem but that sure was a load!

I have used a u-haul trailer with my car it is lower than the ZL1 with the wide tires. The only difficulty is loading and unloading. You will need boards on the ramps and on the trailer itself. I had the trailer a day before I left to get the right combination to load the car. Towing was not a problem, but I have a 2500 diesel truck.

They come with the car and were removed by the dealer during the PDI. They should have put them in the glove box so u have quick access if you ever have to be towed.

They are to be used on the front to increase the ground clearance for the front splitter and the winglets underneath so it will make it up the trailer's ramp. Only needed on the front

I have hired Wewilltransportit to haul my Chevrolet from Los Angeles to Melbourne. There service was too good and most importantly prompt delivery. My cousin recommended this company name to me.

Load it properly, use the right size drop hitch and it will tow just fine. Have used them several times. Use 2x10's to help losing on ramp and to clear the splitter at the front so you can pull it all the way up.
