I like both but agree they are both very different. I explain it as the Corvette is a sportscar and the Camaro is a musclecar. Different feel. Obviously most of my Vette & Camaro club members know which way I'm leaning since I was saving for another Vette and bought another Camaro.

Who would get madder? If you walked up to a Camaro guy and say "That's just a poor man's Corvette" or if you walked up to a Corvette guy and said "That ain't nothing but a rich man's Camaro" lawl.
I do remember the first day I rolled up to work in my Viper a good friend of mine said "You can't give a redneck money"...true I guess :( . -Tenma820 |

It's not a poor mans car still 40k for the 2ssrs.
I would never buy a vette unless it was the zr1. Nest car in the market dollar for dollar IMO |

You guys act like this is the first time someone has said this... they've always said it. Don't let it bother you... they are just jealous.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to start this thread (probably not the first one, but the first I've seen).
It's a free country (so far, at least), and to each his own. I wouldn't be caught dead in a Corvette. To me, it's a chick car, because it doesn't faze me one way or the other when I see a woman driving one. But every time I see a guy behind the wheel, I think he's either a dork or is trying to compensate for something. My brother-in-law is in his 2nd Corvette, and he's clearly trying to compensate, so that no doubt informs my bias to a certain extent, but this was my take on 'Vettes long before I met him. Again, to each his own. No offense. If you're a guy and you have or want a Corvette, have at it. Last edited by JAustin; 10-26-2011 at 04:55 PM. |

I don't like the Vette, I respect it wholeheartedly BUT I don't require Viagra like most of the people you see driving around in Vette's. All but the ZR1 are old people's car's, midlife crisis cars, the list goes on and on and on.

You guys are throwing this "poor mans" term around too loosely.

I've only seen two guys under 60 in my life driving a vette. I can't afford a new one, but I could afford a Camaro LLT and got one. It just happened in a different way.

Driven both. And though I like corvettes and have nothing against them, my heart always has and always will belong to the camaro.
Also above statement about the ZL1... so true!
