And according to Car and Driver it'll do the 1/4-mile in 14.1 sec @ 97 mph. I just pulled down a 12.3 the other night. Soooo will a turbo knock off 1.8 seconds?
So you HAVE been to the strip. My money is on you due to more seat time at the strip. May be a really close drivers race. Get video if you can.

Oh misunderstood you. We have both been to the strip. I've been there more. But we've never run each other. And he hasn't ran since he boosted it.
Oh and we both have Gopro's and I'll be sure to share.

They weigh like 2800 pounds, turbo kit adds weight so lets call around an even 3000 +- 100 pounds. Turbo could def knock off that much time all depends on set up. Its easier to go from 14s to 13s than 13s to 12s and so on you know?

240 at the flywheel is probably 195-200 ish to the wheels maybe 205, + 100whp should get him just into 12s using ricer math.

I'd say from a dig you will crack him through the 1/4, if hes an average driver he'll probably run like a 13.2-5ish. With driver mod I don't see that thing going faster than 12.6ish.

From a roll he might be a problem if he gets the jump and at higher MPH he might pull on you a bit. You should pull it though.

So I predict 10-12 cars or so from a dig if you leave at the same time and probably 5-6 from a roll.

Good luck and be safe! Get that W LOL

^ Eh, I don't know about all that. They can run 12.40s or faster with about 300whp with the right suspension set up and tire, and they trap about 114-116. It's gonna be close. I'll still give it to the SS, but not by 12 cars.

Looks like you're right.

He might actually get you from a roll. If he asks you for a roll tell him to take his ass back to the bakery, dig only!

Not many people can drive a fast RWD car so its going to need a good driver to get that low 12 slip.

I'll give it to you based on one thing: Torque. Those "V-Tech Yo" motors have a narrow powerband, even with the turbo.

If it's just what that s2k come for what it is right now you'll have him, but he might run it with higher boosts for the run and that f20c handle boost really well.

And thanks for all the input guys. I am very curious to see how it plays out. He needs tires bad so I don't see us running any time soon. He's a good driver for sure. So we can take the driver mod out of the equation right there.

Obviously I won't do anything from a roll because it'll be at the track. But I'll be sure to report back when we do. Win or loose.

Narrow power band? They run high 13s stock with 170tq/240hp. They make excellent power where it counts. With a turbo, they are in the meat of their power band with every shift.

Coming from someone that has both (camaro ss and s2000 AP1) the camaro will win from a dig hands down. Boosted I put down 320whp with a t518z which is a Mitsubishi turbo. Very small turbo but very quick spool. I assume based on his lack of power he is running log manifold which will be his downfall. If he is running a larger turbo he will also experience lag. Like others have said though don't run from a roll as they fly. I broke a lot of hearts from a roll even modded gto, camaros, and 5.0s. They come with 4.10 gears and 6 speed trannys so they climb quick. Most people that own s2000s have a hard time launching on street tires the best I could get was a 2.0 flat on that run was a 12.8 at 114. Have fun racing and be safe!!!
