Yes, the thread originator had a 2LT like mine, so that's what I based the build on. The spare tire is not available on any of the SS models.

The difference with OnStar is that it's a more powerful phone using a larger antenna. Think military-grade car phone.

It does not utilize a small, battery-operated, compact-antenna pocket phone. Big difference.

You're in the big leagues, sort of

Ferraris, Maserattis, Lambos, most Porsches, Bugatti Veyrons, do not come with spares or run flat tires. Just a bottle off goo and compressed air. Celebrate being in the company of such great cars. You are too cool for school, not a fool.

Which is nice.. Unless it's a Sunday, you're in McHenry, IL and you're on a vacation and staying at a hotel.. Then, they're less than useless.

These Eastern folks don't know what it is like out West where you can drive for 2 or 3 hours between towns. As long as you are in populated areas no spare is ok. Anyone driving through Eastern Oregon, Nevada, etc, is crazy to drive without a spare. Just my personal feelings.

Think you're going a little overboard calling yourself stupid over just a spare tire and jack...

I've driven about 500,000 miles in my lifetime. Have changed 3 flat tires, ever. I'd rather have a spare; I know they do get used. But I have to admit, it's not that common. Tires are much better than they used to be.

Motorcycles don't have a spare tire so I can live with my other toy not having a spare.

Plus if that leak sealer/inflator does what it claims to do, there won't be much keeping you immobile if you did have a flat.

I haven't got a clue how to use the inflator, and where is the tire sealer spray?

That's a lot of writing just to say "I found out I have no spare". Guess what, neither do most of the rest of us. Its OK.

My experience is not like yours. Maybe I ride on rougher roads than u.

I have a spare in my LS and I used it just this past week, I got a grenade pin(complements of the Marines) stuck in my back driver side tire and had to take it off myself and put on the spare found it quite easy just looked really funny. I went down to sears and got it sealed for free another story lol.

This eastern guy knows....

I also appreciate the thought and decision-making that went into opting to make a spare tire optional...I'm glad they did. And if I ever get a flat soooo bad that the inflater kit can't fix it? Well....the Camaro's seats are mighty comfy...
