Yeah, the L76 is setup to run on 87octane pump gas. A simple tune would probably
have it knocking on the 400 hp door

So since it's pretty much a "de-tuned LS2" from what I've read, and what you've said. Couldn't a simple head-swap bring it back to it's LS2 style glory?

The LS7 is great, but a low production engine. Give me an LS3, then bore and stroke it. No need to spring for the supercharger

Its not a detuned LS2, its a small displacement low compression LS3, it has BETTER heads than an LS2, all you need to make it smoke LS2's is a piston upgrade.

Just thought i'd let you know this is an exact replica of the Australian SS Commodore. Which was designed and built from scratch (no chassis from the European Omega) by Holden. And this was also the base for the G8. It has a 6.0L Gen4 V8 with 270Kw(370 bhp)

You can find out more here: www.holden.com.au/www-holden/

Here is the ss. And do you recognise the other???? (GTO ring a bell, also based off Holden [Monaro])

Also is a picture of the GTS which has a 6.0L Gen4 also, but with 307Kw(415bhp) see: www.hsv.com.au

Those are some sweet rides....As someone else was asking what kind of vehicles we would consider besides the Camaro if it wasn't built....take a look above. Love the pic of the GTO w/ the original GTO in the reflection.

I see the regular Lumina over here in Kuwait all the time. It looks pretty nice. I like the proportions of it. I haven't seen the Lumina SS yet. I do see the older Lumina SS quite a bit. There's also a Lumina SS Coupe (Monaro/GTO) here on base owned by one of the civilians working here. They are all badged as Chevys for the Arabic market. The Chevy Caprice(Holden Caprice) looks really nice. In my opinion they need to import that to the states and bring the Caprice/Impala back. Then GM can have a decent cop car again. if you go to gmarabia.com you can check them all out.

But I'll admit, that Lumina SS on the front page of GMInsidenews has an even more appealing look to me.

That car reminds me of an '08 mini-cadillac CTS. Compare the crease in the front fender, the small gill in the front fender, and the general shape of the fog light openings.

^ Those are some awesome rims on that lumina SS. I would love to see those on the Camaro too along with the ones on the HHR SS.

I like those rims, too. But if I had a choice (which I think we might), I'd absolutely die for the Convertible's rims

They'd be a bit$h to keep clean, what with the brake residue, but I'd spend 10 minutes everyday polishing them...

They're not really that much different than these to keep clean. It's actually pretty easy to clean and keep chrome clean.
