Guys. Guys. Guys.
The Caddie and Bentley are crazy fast and quite tossable for their size. Pedders and Pfadt have shown that the Camaro can be amazing on the track. Weight is not the kiss of death. It can be controlled. Look at a Murcielago. Also from what has been said the 6 gen is only to be 200 - 300 lbs. lighter. If that makes you think the 5 gen is a pig your mistaken! I know 200 lbs. can be taken out of the 5 gen, do you?

Get over it, it's a very rigid platform which is more important than a couple hundred pounds (ask a track car builder).

Nah not worried about the wieght at all. If I worried about the wieght
issue I never would have purchased my 79 Trans Am and my 87 Grand National when they first came out. Opps showing my age .

Oh I know, the CTS-V impresses the hell out of me. I find it amazing how that car springs around, it looks like it weighs nothing. But just imagine the same thing, minus 400 lbs or so? It would be CRAZY! Not to mention better on gas, but obviously those buying these cars arent concerned about gas

And I have first hand experience with how rigid the Zeta platform is. I got hit by a car going the wrong way on a one way and slammed me from the front. Came out without a scratch, car is back together and runs like nothing ever happened. Any lesser car would have been completely demolished and I would of probably been hospitalized.

I think the "Z" and the "L" letters should have a mirror finish on the steering wheel and maybe the "1" should be reflective as well.
Pic looks great!!

"If you want to be boosted you either build the engine correctly for it or you take a chance of this happening. before he called me i was talking to my builder and he had another 2010 LS3 coming that was devastated in the same way. Tuned by one of the best.. it was just too much power for the stock engine to handle and it let go... he was making around 600 rwhp..

You don't put a roof up and then build the house under it... you build from the ground up.
I know thats a hard pill to swallow when you buy a new car but ... your engine was not built for boost in that new car... GM builds a whole new engine for boost . They don't just slap a blower on the LS3/L99 and call it good. There is a reason for it. I'm know I'm one of the few who advocate doing things the right way, there is a lot of money in selling boost. I make more selling a Maggy or E-force than selling a forged short block but if you ask me what I would do if it were my money i would not waste it and do things correctly. I've been doing it far to long to not know the outcome".

When you realize that the LSA engine was tested at WOT for a time period of almost two weeks straight, maybe just maybe, it is a pretty good engine. Just a thought...

The ZL1 looks great! Any word on making it in a convertible? Wonder why they wouldn't launch both simultaneously.
