The Chevy vs. Ford thing is timeless...it's been a topic forever, and it will continue to be. Frankly -- I think it should be Chevy + Ford vs. the Imports. They are...the unbeatable team. What one doesn't have, the other does -- and their quality, etc is impeccable. :flag2: |

Most comfortable car I have ever been in was a 72 Thunderbird with a 460.
OMG driving it on a trip was like floating on air. What get's me is the stuff about Ford "beating" to the LOT with cars or the constant GT500 comparisons. When GT500's market competition is the Corvette. So that's why. When a flea bites the dog the dog tries to chew the flea off. |

i was saying that because of the first argument of how chevy requires more displacement. i was just defending chevy, not attacking ford. and since the internal combustion engine is basically the same as it has for for decades, i think if this is just based on engine output, it will be a tie. in todays auto industry, its about getting the performance numbers up, with a fair price. imo.

idk maybe this thread got taken the wrong way but it wasnt to cause arguments are saying i agree with it...it was more to point out how stupid it is...like Vash said the only thing that irritates me with the ford boys is how they try to compare the Mustang GT 500 to thhe Camaro SS

Team up. Get rid of the imports. Then we can go back to hating each other.

I own a Dodge truck, Pontiac T/A, Ford GT and soon a Chevy and I think your right.... all vehicle manufactures can build fast and powerful cars. Plus it doesn't matter what the manufacture or you buy/build...... there's always someone out there that is gonna be faster, quicker or powerfull!

I dunno, its just me, but i dont think its all about the horsepower wars, even though the v8 in a mustang is weak in horsepower sense (IMO 315? V8? Camaros v6 makes almost that and nissan 370 v6 makes more than that)
But where i think chevy is better is at an all around performing motor. Cause you get awesome gas mileage with great amount of power still. Ford and dodge could make the same horsepower, but no where near the same MPG chevy has. |
