How to dyno a car

Hi, I'm gonna run my car on a dyno tomorrow and have never done this before. Is it best to run in 4th or 5th or 1st to 5th? ANY advice would be great. Thanks Rob

The shop will dyno it for you, but they will use 4th gear to dyno it.

Ben will operate it. For V6 cars, he'll probably use 3rd gear.

Good catch on the v6. Whatever the 1:1 ratio is the gear they use.

4th is 1:1, but on the V6 you hit the speed limiter before you get to top RPM which is 7000 on the V6, so we have to use 3rd.

Manual mode paddle shift to 3rd, start your pull at 40 mph.

Ted.

Funny, I've run my own car on the dyno before... at places I don't even work out of.
