As others have said (sorry to belabor the point):
1) I don't want to buy "X" (in my case, leather and interior lighting) to get "Y" (console gauges).

2) I hope our friendly dealer parts gurus offer "a la carte" options. I'd assume the wiring loom for the gauges would be in place, hopefully just a matter of removing the spacer plastic forward of the shifter, mount the package, and plug it in!?!?

Those console gauges are one of the primary selling points for me (reminds me of my '69 - fond memories)

Anyways -- now back to your regularly scheduled programming.....

according to some one else on the site the gauges will be available as a dealer install

thanx again

On those cold days where I would find remote start useful, I can't leave either of my current cars in N because sometimes the park-brake freezes. Particularly noticible on rear disc brakes.

Here is a link to a forum discussing the issues with remote starting a manual transmission:

http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/gene...vox-cl100.html

And here is a link to the US Patent application for a circuit and required hardware that can apply a remote start to a manual transmission without bypassing the clutch switch or going through a long procedure when parking:

http://www.freshpatents.com/Manual-t...pe=description

My guess is, manufacturers might actually start offering remote starts for manuals from the factory when/if this pattented circuit goes into full scale production and is successfully tested to be fool proof and safe.

It's rather long reading, so in a nutshell, what this does is it can tell if the car is in gear or not. It will also keep the full function of the clutch start switch when the car is started by the key insted of the remote.

1SS gets cloth. 2SS gets leather. You cant mix and match the content. meaning you cant get a 1SS with leather seats.

These may be a dumb questions but... are there going to be rain sensing wipers on the camaro? Do the side mirrors have l.e.d signal indicators on them? Are there going to be different grille options?

Rain-sensing wipers, really?!?

...and that sucks a little hearing no leather option on the 1SS, but not surprising.
