Square exhaust tips

I just put the flowmaster outlaw series exhaust on my car last week. My car is a 2SS RS with the ground effect package. I had to take the metal exhaust trim off of my rear bumper in order to get the exhaust to fit. I know I can't be the only one who has had this problem. My thought is to find someone who sells square tips. I've seen some online but I'm not sure what size fits. My exhaust is 3" Will changing from round tips to square tips change the sound?
thoughts?

Solo has a set for the GFX too, I went with those on their j-pipe catback. No pix, sorry but you don't even see the tips unless you look, they are about 1/2" recessed in the GFX openings.

Send a message via AIM to 2011ss/rs
The shape will not change the sound but the square looks better.

After checking out the black powder coated tips I think those would look better than the polished ones I have, I may have to make a change!!!!! I hope somebody out there will post some pics of their car with the black ones so we can compare the two of them and make a educated decision on which one's to go with.

I'd probably go withrough the polished ones just because it seems like $150 is a lot for tips.

I just went through the thread that Ivan has posted and there are some pictures of both, the chrome and black and some with the trim rings in black, which I really like that look, this may be a little winter project I may do, I know the gfx is argent gray so I think the trim rings should be argent gray also, or should I paint them black and my tips black, I have black badges on my car so I think it would stand out a little more if I painted them black, let me hear some input on this.

Does anybody have any pics of the SOLO tips installed on their car or any other brand. I just can't get over the $150 for exhaust tips. If I have to I'll buy them but they are very salty at that price point.

Go with MBRP, I had the solo tips but they would have stuck out way to far so had to cut them down and never liked the look plus they were not black.

Those black tips look sick! I'm debating on blacking out the pumper pieces too but not sure yet. The chrome make the exhaust look massive. Blacking them to makes it more like a normal car but more custom on these cars.
