Add some B-pillars. Make the roof higher. Make the wheels smaller. Don't cut out the vents. Change the gas cap location....and go ahead and paint the cover.....Hell...just change a few more things about the car. Now, I can understand reasons for certain changes. I can live with a few things. But, give me a break. I'm not one who goes to a dealer and buys whatever is on the lot... So, for a lot of us, it ISN'T JUST a gas cap. |

no offense to those that want the filler door on the driver's side, but I welcome the filler door being on the passenger side... to me, it makes it easier to fill the car up because I dont have to watch where I swing the door open at... and as it stands, I park as far away as possible from everyone else filling up at the gas station so I dont have to worry about them hitting my car when they are leaving... so its no big deal to me.

And, I wouldn't want to be the only one to keep thousands of poeple from getting their Camaro. I'd rather go and buy the $400 billet cap like you mentioned. I probably won't be able to for a while, but I really think it adds something to the overall look of the Camaro. While it's not going to keep me from buying the car, it sure is a dissappointment seeing a couple things in particular change that I was so passionate about (the gas cap for one...b-pillar for another). Overall, they are doing a great job and I'm sure I'll be very pleased. |

It is just that beautiful....and I still thank you in advance for blowing our minds! This is one thing I am definitely 'Keeping the Faith' until proven otherwise...

Putting the gas cap on the top allows it to be filled from either side. Now that is convenient. I'll accept I traditional door as stock equipment, because I can go buy a billet one myself. But the location is unchangeable, so I hope it stays where it is on the concept, as that location is both attractive and convenient.

Regarding my statement earlier. I don't want anyone to think I'm unhappy w/ the way things are going. I am happy. There are certain things that make this Camaro unique to me....certain things I saw at NAIAS back in 06 that, in a sense, screamed out at me. Those two things that were MAJOR in my eyes were:
1. No b-pillar and 2. Gas cap style and location. I can live with other things changing. I knew the interior was going to change. I figured there would be no way GM would keep wheels that big. Roof being raised? Fine by me...I'm 6'3" anyway and would appreciate it. I can cut out the vents on the side if I wish. I'm cool w/ everything. There's just a couple things that are special to me....things that are really important to me that I'm adamant about seeing in our production Camaro. I lost on #1. I'll live with it. I can understand. BUT, I don't think crash test safety, standards, and savings on insurance play a role w/ freakin gas cap location. Cost cutting? If that's the only reason, well....fine. I'll live. But, someone better make that gas cap for me. And, they better keep the gas cap door up top. Just my personal view. Only an opinion. I'm not mad at anyone. I just don't want to see another like of mine dissappear. |

Just thinking...Maybe the smaller light pods in the grille could be the turn signal indicators if the lights in the bumper are fog lights. That being said they are just temporary??? The round gas cap cover would be good. I wasn't too happy about the B pillar either but I would rather have the roof support than not.

Thought popped in my head as to the existance of those amber lights in the Grille that Fbodybuddy spoke about.
We know the prototype's headlights are stand-ins as the production lamps aren't ready yet, right? Well...assuming we get something similar to the concepts, then notice how the 'front' turn signals are sort of intigrated into the headlight on the concepts, and Bumblebee #3. Perhaps those ambers on the prototype are also just stand-in's - because the production lamps (headlight, and directional) just aren't ready yet? I always felt they were...they look so, out of place. But I couldn't come up with reasoning to back it up until now. As per TAG. Have you noticed how nobody has said anything directly negative about the filler cap location, yet? No "don't get too hooked on it." Or "Just be prepared for changes on that front". Nothing. Although I can see a BIG possibility of it being sent down to the side (due to stupid people claiming warantee repaints due to gas spills), nobody has 'braced us' for the impact, yet......hmmmmm...... |

The gas spill thing drives me crazy. When I filled up today, I took one second to tilt it forward and hold it in, then I pulled it out and not a single drop was spilled. Anyone going in for warranty repaints for spilled gas should have their car taken away from them and given to someone more deserving.

For example, every blurry “cough cough” spy photo (yeah right) I see makes me smile till my face hurts… I have never had a new car make me feel like that…
