Does anyone else out there feel like their front end is sitting just a little too high? The rear looks perfect, but my front end seems to sit up about 1 -1.5" higher than the rear & it's driving me NUTS! Has anyone heard anything about the fact that it could settle down a bit w/ more drive time, or am I just going to have to lower it myself?

Did you check the springs? Might still have the shipping pucks.

Too many people have reported the same thing. I find it hard to believe that so many dealers would have neglected to remove them prior to delivery. Many of the cars look nose up depending on the photograph. My suggestion is find a flat area and if you can shoot a laser line through the middle of the wheels on both sides. Measure the distance vertically from that centerline to the fender lip. That will give you a better indication. Suggesting that it will settle down is unlikely from my experience. Springs aren't going to relax 1.5 inches unless I'm crazy.

Yeah, settling seems unlikely to me also...just a theory. No leftover spacers either, I checked that on day 1. On my "perfectly level" garage floor, just using the old fashioned fingers stuck in the wheel well technique...2 fingers in the back, & 3.5 in the front confirms what I can visually see as well. I stopped to look at a Nightfall Gray 1LE on my local dealers lot last night & the stance is perfect...so frustrating! I wonder if they put too heavy a spring in front to support the heavier LT4 engine package?

The engineers won't do anything that wasn't necessary for some reason or another. What that is in this case....escapes me. They could have wanted more travel for the weight up front? Maybe they needed the angle of the car to be something specific for aero?

Keep in mind, also, that while the tire profile is the same as the rear, the width is not....and that means the overall...the tire diameter is 1.2 cm shorter than the rear. Or about a half an inch. IMO, that's most of what we're seeing.

Switch to SAE 90 weight oil. The heavier oil oughta bring that puppy down.

Maybe it is to balance the no lift shift?

It's odd, because all of the preproduction cars sat perfectly level and looked awesome. I can't remember seeing a customer car that didn't look high in the front.

I agree the front seems to be sitting higher than the pre-production models that were shown at the various cars shows and press conferences.

Here's a side by side comparison I made of the front fender gap of my ZL1 and that of a pre-prodcution ZL1. Sure looks like the gap is larger on my car.

Being high in the front should help put more weight on the rear for those hard launches, so maybe they put in the drag springs.

Could there possibly be a minimum clearance standard, and they had to raise the car the meet that. With the bigger grill or chin spoiler addition? I'm thinking like an internal standard not a DOT standard.

Pre-production models are notorious for being slightly lower to the ground for visual appeal. My guess is federal requirements mandated they raise the front a bit for the production models.

Hell, take a look at the pre-production Z06's vs what production ones look like. The difference is jaw dropping. Luckily for Corvette owners, a simple bolt swap is all it takes to get them back down into the weeds.
