I guess I will call and inquire on the X because if they are saying it is as capable as the F2 than I can just do a head unit upgrade. Im guessing they are saying it is more efficient but I dont see how its possible to make anywhere near the same power as even they state 1300hp vs 1600hp. Sounds kinda wierd.

I know....I texted Ron when this thread started just to make sure I understood him clearly and that is what they told him. The 1X is supposedly better than the 2. Their site doesn't say as such though....they have the F2 waaay outflowing the X.

Weird. Share what they tell you when you call...maybe they have the short timers at the PRI show.

I'm not real worried about it as either one is going to be disgusting fast.

1r is rated 1200hp and x 1300hp so Im guessing the larger inlet is the 100hp difference.

They have the F1C rated more powerful than the R now. There is a thread on Yellow Bullet that talks about the 1x replacing the 1R and that that 1R is being "retired" from racing.

Ha. I completely explored the turbo world but honestly none of the kits out there look that great and doing full custom is going to take way more time than I am willing to invest. The undercar systems are tight already but add the 4L80 and the size turbos I would want to run and it gets concerning....and not that feasible.

So .......centri it is....which is what led me to the F2 or the F1x....if I am going to be at a disadvantage I want to bring the biggest gun I can fit to the fight.

The f1-x was designed to make ati competitive in X275 racing, nothing more. It's 10 years in tech more advanced then the f1-r and f2, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it put down substantial numbers.

To run where I want to run....I would have needed to run a large frame turbo and the pipe size and dimensions would have made it tough to run the pipe and keep all accessories.....Ron thought he could do it but the fab time required would have made the project very expensive.

The kits that are out on the market are not super impressive.....most of them use very small pipe and moderate size turbos that will run out of power. We considered upsizing the turbos but with the 4L80, space becomes a big issue for twins.

So BIG Fricking Supercharger it is.
