my friends dad has a 72 Chevelle SS. freaking awesome car. i would love if they brought it back, but if they did what Dodge did with the Charger, id be mad. a 4 door muscle car? i dont think so. it would ruin the amazing car it derived its name from. If they do it, they had better do it right. none of this sedan crap.

Yes, but do not care what size you call it but it was 115" wheel base and a trunk for a full size spare, ice chest and bags...like I say about the size of the mercedes 600...the chevelle was born from the 64 GTO...big engine in a then mid-size 2dr...

I hope not. The Camaro already fills the spot in the Chevy lineup that anything deserving of the Chevelle name would be. I'd rather GM kept the name retired than do the same thing to the Chevelle name that Chrysler did to the Charger name.

well why do you want the Chevelle to have the original wheelbase but are ok with the camaro having its wheelbase extended?? the camaro went from 108" to 112", thats like the chevelle going from 115" to 121". In order for the chevelle to be one size larger its gonna have to be full sized and most likely 4 door at that (but it doesnt HAVE to be, ie Challenger). Then youre stuck between Impala vs Chevelle for the next large performance car. And if they bring one of those ugly ass oversized volvo looking Commodores then they might as well call it a chevelle. If theyre gonna design something badass then they should put a new Impala SS on the top priority list.

what ever?? how many did you drive in the 60s-70s?

mmmmm, chevelle.....

i would love to see a retrofuturistic version of the 1970 model, but then again i'd rather just build a 70 chevelle with updated drivetrain and suspension, and i would actually drive it

im not old so i wasnt alive then, but ive driven many chevelles and one of my friends has a 72' Chevelle. Whats that have to do with the fact that the old chevelle were actually larger than camaros?
