do the 1LEs use ZL1 front wheels (width and offset) all the way around or are the rear wheels a different offset 20x10?

The 1LE uses ZL1 wheels (10" front, 11" rear), but with 285 tires all the way around.

I dont think the 1LE uses 11" rears... there would be no need for it. Goodyear lists the absolute MAXIMUM recomended wheel size for the Eagle F1 G:2 as an 11" width. Doubt they would balloon a 285 over such an unnecessarily wide wheel. Quite frankly it would also be a waste of money for GM.

Here's the info from the 1LE section:

I don't see how that would be a waste of money if they have it in inventory already?

Oh, and welcome to Camaro5.

I guess you're right, theyre using 11s, but my point about wasting money is even though they may already be in inventory, more material always costs more money... why spend the extra when you (GM) dont need it for the tires youre putting on them?

Thx for the welcome

All of the parts that are used for the SS performance package (1LE) are taken out of the ZL1 bins (Corvette for the Transmission), thus there are no extra design, testing and production costs associated with making those parts. If you're just talking about the cost of a tire size over another, think of it this way, if they are stretching a tire over a bigger rim, then that's cost effective as opposed to putting a bigger tire that would maybe be an additional what $20/per? If they are putting a bigger wheel to help eliminate the understeer for the purpose of this car, don't you think that is worth the little extra cost?

I'm just asking...

Does GM publish the exact offsets, back spaces, dimensions of the ZL1 20 inch front and rear wheels ?

Why can't somebody just measure/analyze the offset & back space on the
front: 20x10 wheel and the back: 20x11 wheel and publish the exact engineering drawing/specs on this ZL1 forum instead of guessing ?

Maybe ZL1 owners don't want to get dirty.
