Wheel Problems

Hey guys im new here this place looks awesone. I let my girlfriend drive my car and she decided she was going to hit a curve needless to say she scratched the wheel. I got some pictures is this fixable in any way shape or form? Could I buy just one then try to sell the old one?

Thanks

Doubt it can be fixed so that you will think it is new. As far as buying a new one try e-bay, but most will try selling all four. I don't let the wife drive the Camaro just for that reason. Welcome to the club and you already posted pics which is what we require.

Damn that's what I was worried about I only need one but I doubt eBay would have just one. Is there anywhere you can buy just one?

Try e-bay first or go to the dealer and buy one, but it will be about $300.

Be sure and check the tire and wheel section of C5, I bought a whole set from someone that got different wheels, and only paid 500.00. Then I have more replacements if ever needed... Of course it has to be the "right" wheel that I need. I can't keep scraping up the same one. Or, look into a whole set anyway for a good price, then you have them to switch out if ever needed. For an extra 200.00 for the price of one, to get all 4, not a bad deal!!!

Thanks Jlugo!!!

I would try sanding it smooth...then hi speed polish it with some mother aluminum polish... If all else fails.. then buy a new one.. I think it can be fixed.. doesnt look that bad..

Looks fixable, check out this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=46149

You just need to find a wheel repair company in your area.

Camaroyellowblack, it can be fixed, and you can get on off of ebay, I found BRAND NEW single wheels for $250, at the dealer they are $750 EACH. oh and btw.....Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's and wive's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

A wheel refinishing shop will charge you about $150 to smooth it out and repaint it. Any tire shop can refer you to a refinishing shop, since they all occasionally damage wheels.

On EBAY there is a guy in AZ that sells single wheels. If it is a front she damaged, save it in case you need a spare.

Try awrswheelrepair.com I used them for damage on my sons car. They have franchises all over, I didn't see what state you're located in. I was worried about quality of work. After repair was done I couldn't tell which two rims were repaired. The franchise we went to did a great job and very quick.
