Actually, it's the allocation numbers that are going to be released on October 24th. Pricing discussions will probably continue until mid November when official pricing is finally released.

well, it looks like technology in the form of launch control and stability/damper control will rule. i highly doubt ford is going to use technology on the GT500. more power, wider tires, and stiffer suspension wont be enough.

IMO it will not take a lot of skill to drive fast. drop the clutch and mash full throttle. the computer will handle the rest. toss it into a corner and the computer will make it turn.

It....CAN do that...but you also have the option of turning most of it off and giving it a go yourself...that's, imo, the best part. It can be so many different vehicles all in one...a Cadillac-like ride quality...or a Viper-like murdering machine...

NICE...I think that an automatic would kill that course with not having to shift through the corners and turn downs...but I wouldn't be a great driver for the automatic there because I would probably with almost certainty wipe out on a turn or corner...I don't like to brake at all hardly...looks like fun though...perhaps someone can put the ZR1 run next to the ZL1 for a heads up run to see how they handle through the course...would be sweet to watch a split screen side by side of both vids.

At what price will most of you get a c6 zo6 instead? can get used for cheaper than new ZL1. curious how many are pure performance people or just want the looks and high hp to show it off?
Or even a GTR or other car.

The C6 Z06 lapped the track in 7:42, a full second slower than the ZL1.
*** 7:42.99 Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06 Jan Magnussen 2005 General Motors,[41][42] Motor Trend confirmed ***
It also reached a top speed of 171mph on the last long stretch of the track, where the ZL1 reached 173mph.

You still think the stock C6 Z06 equates to pure performance?

The Z06 and GTR are not available as convertibles. The ZL1 will be
