Sub advice- which is better?

I am a sound quality guy, not a boomer... but I do like to crank the hell out of it and FEEL it sometimes.
Decided to replace all the speakers, mostly because I had them laying around the house and have spare amps, processors etc. - enough to make a pretty elaborate system.
Now, the question is: Single 10" dual voice coil (high end brand/model) with 225w into each voice coil OR DUAL 10" single voice coil subs with 225w into each sub?
Two subs moves more air, but one sub with 450w should be damn tight...
What say ye?

Honestly, I'd say buy a high quality single sub in a corner mounted box and keep as much trunk space as possible. You're not going to gain anything real by doing dual subs at half the power, so might as well save the space and run a single.

That's the way I leaning now- Polk MM series with 500 watt monoblock amp into 2 ohms.
