Glass top?

Don't kill me about the pics. I don't know if anyone would know about the possibility of a glass top Camaro. Ford just released the glass top Mustang (I know...) and I have to say it looks pretty awesome. If they release it for the Camaro I'm definitely getting it!

Yeah, ME LIKES!!!! I'd love for them to offer it in the Camaro but I've heard NOTHING about it so I doubt they will offer it...at least in the first year or so.

Wow, I had no idea they were releasing that for the Mustang, but I really like it. I'd said all along that the new body style needed at least a sunroof option.

Frankly if the Camaro comes with a power sun/moonroof I'll be happy. Being able to open that along with the windows whilst cruising to the sound of big ole V8 will be just enough pleasure for the rest of my life.

Cool, but I'd prefer a sunroof with a proper solid shade. Even heavily tinted, some sun can still come through on hot days and make it hotter. Very nice execution though.

Supposedly it's there. A cloth shade that 'drapes' across the glass roof. At least, it was last time I read about this feature.

I'd love to have a glass top as long as they can still keep that reverse mohawk somehow. I know that would cost more, but the fact that a flat top will ruin that shape bothers me. Mine probably won't even have a sunroof for the cost, so I'd only be able to even consider this if it were somehow free.

I like it. But, go back to the interior spy shots and check out that headliner w/ mohawk style. That's pretty cool too...small storage, etc. Yeah, I'd like the full glass roof...it'd be neat. BUT, I DON'T WANT TO LOSE MY REVERSE MOHAWK ROOF!!! I love my t-tops now. Since all those goodies won't be offered, I'm sticking with the original look of the concept. If GM doesn't do the reverse mohawk roof, glass all the way.

If GM could keep the reverse mohawk I'd consider this option. I like sunroofs and I like my T-tops, but I just like the lines of the concept.

Wow that looks weird and cool but living in a nasty weather area like Chicago, I don't think I could trust a glass top. I'm not getting a sunroof on my Camaro anyway but that is something I've not seen... a glass top. Interesting. I'd hate to have my car flip over or a object fall off a truck onto my top while on the freeway....

would it weigh a lot more?

I'm not interested in the glass roof option at all, but would weight be an issue?

LMAO!!!!!!

anyways.... I love the scenic roof option... still haven't decided if its feasible enough to have it.... but you should check out some Saleen S281's with the scenic roof... wow!

I read a review once that basically said the scenic roof isnt bad at all in the sun at all.... except if you live in miami and arizona, LOL. What they were getting at in the article was that only in extreme heat did they feel that they needed to put up the A/C because of the roof.

But I was thinking if your really desperate for a feature like that and are worried about sun or just simply want to have a closed roof sometimes.... just get a custom retractable liner made from your local custom shop... given this will add up in $$$'s but it might be worth your time.

I'm pretty sure there's a sun shade already installed to cover that large glass roof.
