My turn....cam, headers etc.

For the last 8 months i have been trying to gather info and what will work for what i need. Figured i would just throw a supercharger on there, but it wont do what i want, and what i want is to just plain HAULASS!!! Most of you already know what im talking about....oh yeah, SILVERSTATE.

I will now be running the 150 MPH class, with a top legal speed limit on a public hwy of 165 miles an hour. I needed the power to maintain my speed 150-165 in 6th so it was just a Sunday cruise thru the desert and not beating my motor to death. This is a 90 mile run and so much fun at these speeds.

I live in Calif. and i am taking my car to Jordan (JDP) and having him put a cam, Kook's, high flow's, Vmax throttlebody and a tune. Were expecting a 100HP This is being done in March and i cant wait! Guess i now need to sell the JBA high flows that are on there now, they wont work with headers...

Don't tease us like that and leave us hanging! What cam? What was the deciding factor for Kooks over ARH, or another competitor? That V-Max looks like a lot of 'bang for the buck.'
I think you'll surprise a lot of Z-06's with that setup.

JDP motorsports stage III L76/L92 Camshaft 228/240 .629/.629 LSA 113+3
Now that is a foreign language to me haha!, but Jordan knows what im looking for so im comfortable. Man i am so excited cant wait, going up in March. As far as the Z-06 aspect of it....oh hell yeah!! Cant wait to feel that power at 165+ As far as the Kook's, thats just what Jordan suggested and i liked. With my time here i have heard a lot about Kook's and i would of went with them anyway.

Happy to hear you're pulling the trigger, Mark! Looking forward to hearing the results. At the track today, and will likely pull the trigger on a track friendly cam as soon as the warranty is up this year. Good for you, man!

Hi Pete, thanks. I know Silverstate isn't the intentness of tracking which is what you were looking forward to. I remember when i ran my second race with them in the 125 class it was so much funner then the 110, and then i went to the Grand Sport class and the 140-145 class and to be flat out at 159, yes we are limited to 155, but according to my GPS and their radar the car will actually go that fast. As you know i just want the power to run the 150 class and now i will have it. Cant wait to be in 6th just plain haulingass at 165.....MMMMM This class is so competitive, i will be running with Lamborghini, Ford GT's, ZR-1's Etc. I am so excited, cant wait, and according to their websight clock i have 108 days 15 hrs. 18 min, 27 seconds. Haha!

Yes, i have all the confidence in Jordan, thats why im driving from So Cal the Salt Lake. I have been at his shop before, as i sit here i cant remember what for but i was up there to run Miller and stopped by. They also came out to the track that weekend. Thats what is so cool about JDP, they actually do what we do and knows what works.
