I still believe the the R/T has a large advantage. The Hemi throws you back in your seat, where the V6 camaro not so much. Its a heavy ride but dyno's more than an L99 (r/t's around 320-360 whp) Most tested times have the r/t 0-60 around 5.2/ 1/4 mile 13.6-13.8. The camaro 0-60 5.6-6.0 and 1/4 in mid 14's. Both are awesome cars and the V6 Camaro is the best bang for the buck for a coupe, and the r/t best bang for the buck for a large sedan. I do agree with you that the driver can even things out, but all thing equal the r/t wins. The only reason I dont have a Camaro anymore is I need a sedan with lots of space for the kids and family, and accelerates like a c6 vette (only in a straight line lol).

The DA and track conditions play a big role. The only way to really know is to take it to the strip and line up next to one.

I agree. The Camaro is the most bang for your buck. I'm officially a bolt-on car. I honestly think with just the CAI, I could easily go 13.8s. Those Challengers weigh like 4100lbs, and the 2LS Camaro weighs about 3700lbs. The weight plays a big difference.

Which trim did you drive? I had the super track pack that came with 3.06 gears, as opposed to the standard 2.65. That makes a huge difference. The 2015 Charger rt with the facelift is supposed to get the 8-speed trans and 0-60 times will be in the high 4's. That might make things more even.

I just drove past it on the dealer lot last night.....it's a 2013. A friend of mine had his truck in at the dealer for service...they let him take the car for a run while he waited. He stopped by my house....then it was off to abuse the r/t. To be honest I don't know what trim package it was. It sounded good but really didn't have the push I thought it should.
