The sad part is, part of me really wants to see the brothers roaring down the road again. But then the Camaro (rational ) side says: "If the Firebird comes out again, then their [Firebird and Camaro] both doomed."

and it's true.

But I look at it this way, the Camaro is a big boy now, 35 years old (technically 40), it should be able to take care of itself without the Trans Am's help.

*looks around cautiously*

You do realize if it came back it would look about as much as the old ones (4th gens) as the Camaro does, right?

In other words....nothing like the old ones (4th gens).

Which is moot, because it isn't coming back.

It's sad that they are gone in the first place.:( I really like the 4th gen looks better than the 5th. But if I had to pick I think the GTO is coming back, even though I would prefer the Firebird.

Then maybe it's time for The Trans Am to earn its own keep... ... I personally thought that (At least in the 80's, and 90's) that the Firebird/Trans Am looked better than the Camaro... Forgive me if i upset anyone...

If they could lauch the Firebird as it's own car - then I say go for it!! Ah, but then we see the catch: it wouldn't be a firebird if it didn't look like a Camaro.

Personally I always loved the Trans Am,Part of me still cant believe they stopped making them.Never been a big GTO fan,so if given the choice I much rather see a new Firebird/Trans Am.
