I think I saw a CAI intake in black somewhere on site. Was that a custom job or do they really come in black?

That's the one I want - not sure why black costs $50 more though. Seems like it would be the same or maybe even cheaper.

The reason the Black CAI is 50.00 more is because it's a non standard coating for Cold Air Inductions. Basically the person who does their coating charges them for the black coating because they are not doing as much volume as the ceramic coating.

Hopefully that clarifies things a little bit

You probably saw our sales thread in the vendor area or one of our customers who posted pictures. It is a special order item from CAI but we keep them in stock so our customers don't have to wait. If you have any questions feel free to hit me up.

I think CAI said that the black doesn't dissipate the heat as well as the ceramic coating.
