Muffler Delete

Ive been reading about muffler delete today and whether i should do it or not. I have a couple questions. Does the muffler delete make it sound like a truck? Ive seen mixed comments of it losing power and what not. Is it worth it?

I am not a fan..but some folks like it...

Here is a link to videos displaying muffler sounds. There is a muffler delete in there. I find it too raspy for my taste.

After I did my muffler delete it still wasnt loud enough for me. I then went back and had the secondary cats cut off and it sounded better. I let the resonator so I can still pass inspection. Now that I am running LT I chose to go with the off road extensions and it is really freaking loud. At none of those stages did it sound like a truck to me. It makes it sound more like a muscle car!!!

Previous owner of mine had resonators and mufflers deleted, had a shop weld some like bullet style mufflers so it's not raspy at all, sounds like a legit muscle car. I'd do it just bcus it's cheap and the result is still the same

SS and LFX muffler delete are completely different.

I would recommend an SS muffler delete but absolutely would not recommend a LFX muffler delete.

Do it if you want your car to sound like it should from the factory! It's cheap and you can either reverse it or buy a cat or axle back if you don't like it. I love it, best money I've spent thus far. It ties me over until I have more expendable income.

I did a muffler delete when my exhaust was stock, and loved it. Then went to 2" LT, 3" Cats/Mids and Mufflers...Then deleted those Mufflers too...NOW I love it even more...My bitch sounds like a beast now...

If that's all your planning on doing, the stock muffler delete is a great way to bring out the sound from the stock setup...

Your resonator will count as your muffler. Leave it and remove everything else. I have 2 videos on my build thread if u want to listen to them.
