bmw 330i vs camaro LT

Alright, so i figured i'd give y'all something to lighten up your morning.

My friend is talking big about how his car can smoke mine if he took of his speed limiter haha. also saying that my exhaust does nothing for my car with increasing horsepower

his car: 2002 Bmw 330i 3.0 inline 6 | all stock

in the past he's said how his is faster than mine, so i mentioned lets go to the 1/4 mile and see and he backed out saying i'd win.
but yesterday he's now saying he can smoke my car

Just want to see if y'all think it would be close or not. I dont know how an older bmw compares speed wise.

2002 330i has 225hp 214 ft lbs torque.

i just want him to see what everyone would say so that way he'd shut up about it

They were mid 14s at best. If he's taken good care of it then he still may be able to pull a similar time. You should be low 14s and even high 13 in good air.

Best way to get him to shut up is invite him to the track again. If he declines, the make fun of him.

not yet, im looking to get a ported throttle body and an intake before i do.

Don't know too much about tuning the camaro to know how much of a difference it will make.

Looks like they are starting to get some pretty good results with bolt-on LLTs lately. If you can pick up another 15 ft-lbs of torque down low you can cut some time off your 60' and that helps a lot in the 1/4 mile.

Both IPF and Trifecta offer tunes. I'd work with Matt@FSP (member here). Just PM him; I'm sure he can help you.

I think most of the low-end torque gains are coming from the VVT phasing. With headers you may pick up even more than usual. You might want to look into the intake isolators (VMAX and MACE). They help low-end torque as well.

If you have an automatic then they can tune that as well and it will feel like a totally different car.
