As per a conversation I had over the weekend with some salesmen at a couple of dealers, "when they're complaining about car covers, a mirror", ie; a few minor things, you know GM/Chevrolet has done a great job with the car, and as people's nature is, they're looking for something to complain about.

Over all the car is amazing. Yes, there are going to be some items which individuals may find fault with, (AND I'M NOT TRYING TO START AN ARGUMENT!) but, please, I don't want to see "__________ FAIL" thread, and this "__________ FAIL" thread.

As Scott has repeated over and over, NO CAR is perfect, and you're not going to please everyone.

Criticizing a car is welcome, as long as it doen't turn in to "nit picking".

Yes, "this" could be different, "that" could be done differently, but BIG PICTURE; THE CAR IS AWESOME. And we should not "miss the forest for the trees". Be glad the Camaro is back, be glad if you're fortunate enough to own one, and just enjoy it.

I had no visibility problems when I sat in it a few days ago, but I didn't drive it. I'm 5'8. I have a non-onstar mirror on my Cobalt coupe and i also see the backseats and headliner in the mirror. Yeah it shows more than it has to, but that's about the standard size for mirrors. I do think the onstar buttons make the mirror big and bulky, and I have accidentally hit the emergency dial button while adjusting the mirror. I'd like to see onstar controls moved to a different place.

Not been a problem at all for me...I'm 6'. I actually thing the visability items that have been brought up are over stated IMO. I see perfectly fine out the back, side to side.

As I've stated before, I have more side to side and rear visability in the Camaro than our Mini Copper S cabrio....way more!

keep in mind that this is JUST my observation.... I LOVE this car and i'm definately not looking to bash it... but IMHO the mirror looks like it is MONSTER TRUCK sized in relation to the windshiled and it DOES create a bad blind spot... for ME.
no arguments here, just observation.

i definately agree that it is a fantastic vehicle...

you have my permission to change the title from FAIL to D- if you like.

Why oh Why?
Windshield=10" vertical
mirror= 3 7/8" (that's almost 4") vertical
that means that the mirror is 38.75% the size of the vertical windshield...
it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

I'm 6'1" and it did NOT create a blind spot in the windshield for me. The front view felt wide open. Maybe you had your seat in the wrong position?

Maybe they ran out of factory mirrors and subbed in a silverado mirror!

It's all good.

Opinions are VERY welcome, and encouraged!!! And to be respected.

And I see no reason to change anything in your thread.
