Anyone worried about the alpha platform?
So anyone concerned? Isn't the alpha platform supposed to be out pretty soon? I dont want my ZL1 to look old after a year or two. What do you guys think?

possibly '14., and the Camaro probably won't start development until a year after that.

The ZL1 package in the current platform is most likely a two year project, three max, before the Alpha platform arrives.

I dont care if the alpha does make the car look different im not someone who is going to buy a car to sell it in a few years just to keep up with the latest and Greatest.
I got my Camaro because its what I wanted and thats why I have done what I have to it so far. |

I'm saying GM has more up it's sleeves than we know (hopefully); For me, current Zeta platform ZL1 is fine. I cannot imagine my big butt in a smaller bucket seat than the ZL1 already is. I wish they'd get back to the size seats that used to be in the 68-70 Chevelles! |

I'm not worried, nor to I expect CAMARO to switch to Alpha until at least the 2015 MY.

Well hopefully we'll get more information before, I place my order. If alpha is really coming in 2013 I rather wait and get this on alpha. If it's not coming til 2014 or 15 I'll go ahead and order.

The alpha platform is coming in 2013 it will more than likely not debut the Camaro on it.

Worried? About what?
Firstly, progress and advancement is the name of the game in the auto industry. If you're going to be worried about a new model replacing the car you bought and love...Don't buy a car and just keep waiting and waiting and waiting... Secondly...The Alpha platform is debuting with the Cadillac ATS, first. CTS, second, and then Camaro...don't expect an Alpha-platform, 6th gen Camaro until 2015 or so...and even then...It might only start by offering the LS, LT, and SS...it might take another year to release a supercar version like the ZL1 and possibly Z28... No...not worried. |

I agree with you. I want a ZL1. But if it comes on the Alpha platform in less then 2 years. I'll wait and just keep my SS until then.
