Why does this camaro have daytime running lights and Halos on....while mine only has the daytime running lights on? I want my Halos to be on during day like this one:

when I want my Dr on, i turn the knob all the way over to the right, then they are on along with my sidemarkers too

You need an aftermarket harness from AAC

All the way to the right turns on the headlamps......
Off position runs the DRL's
One notch to the right is Halo with rears and side markers.
You need to modify the wiring to run DRL and halos.

I am green to the C5 but I was lost to this myself till I read up on it and a bit disappointed that I have to wire in a harness to make the front end look a bit more mean !

Just the ability to run the halos is pretty cool. I turn them on when its just starting to get dark and as posted above one click to the right. You will get a message about auto light control being deactivated. Don't forget to shut em off when u park and of course turn your lights on when its real dark.

Interestingly enough I noticed this.

When the vehicles were tested in Oshawa there was a way that they turned on all the lights. Daytime, halos, headlights.

Also on my dad's 45th anniversary 2012 Camaro when you unlock the door the daytime running lights, headlights, and halos are all turned on. My 2010 only has the headlights on.

I never get into a Camaro (daytime) without turning the knob to the left (it will spring back) and then one click to the right -- turns the Halos on (no DRL)

.....even "Mom" Settlemire won't drive her Camaro without doing this.....

I bought the $35 dollar harness on here from a vendor . No cutting or splicing ...just plug n play !

I rewired my "DRL" to my halos and added a switch inside the car. Cost me about $3.00 and I have full control over the lights. Running halos and "DRL" fogs at dusk looks awesome! Also I replaced the buld, just like the pic shown.
