I am making plans to drive out to LA to see family next year for a two week vacation. I lived in Oxnard when I was in the coast guard. I used to run the canyon roads on my Suzuki Bandit. Everytime I go visit family I rent mini coopers so I can buzz various canyons. So I dream about running the 1LE from LA to Santa barbra to Monterey to petaluma in northern california.
Since our cars are Identical in looks, do me a favor and get a pic sitting up on muhulland overlook with a shot of the twisties in the background or your buddies taking a pick of you on the last turn going up just before overlook. Or even a pic down in Paradise Cove in front of my favorite beachside hang over bar. Or sitting on the curb outside Patrick's Roadhouse down in Santa Monica Thanks for the memories, I do not miss driving from Pomona to Thousand Oaks on a friday night at 6pm. 1 hour drive no traffic, turns into 4 hour drive with traffic. |

Welcome bud, I also got my car from Allen Gwynn in Glendale. My friend and I both have 1LE's as well and we're both in Glendale. We go tracking frequently and we do the occasional canyon run and cruise. Maybe we should put together a group from all the people on this thread, it sounds like we can get quite a few guys together. My friend and I are both down.
