I want one of the surprises to be a 550hp, supercharged, 6.2L, direct injected V8 engine to be available in an RS/SS trim package... and for it to cost less than $45k

that's not asking for too much, is it? that'd be 100hp less the 2009 top level Corvette, and the car is heavier, so the Vette would still be the top dog

the starter could be keyless like toyotas are. you just carry the fob and the car senses it, unlocks the door, and lets you start the motor.

I also want it to stop like my STi and have subs in the back window like the JADA models.

After talking to a classmate up here in Oshawa, I found out that the plant is currently being gutted. For some reason I don't think that it will take a full year to get the machines in to build the new Camaro. SO unless there is something else being built alongside the Camaro it might be hitting showrooms sooner than we've been told.
