I will have pricing for this unit next week I believe. Also, I am working on organizing a GB for this through a performance shop/dealer right now to get the first production runs out to the members here.

For me choosing the right shifter is an important step. I hate to just go out and purchase a shifter then hate the way it feels. Ive done this on my 01 SS I got the pro 5.0 and hated it. Way too notchy and actually harder to shift imo. I then heard good things about the SLP shifter so purchased it and used the stock stick just cut it down and it was perfect. I always seem to go through a few on cars till I find 1 I like. I hate a really notchy shifter but usually like something not as sloppy as stock. How are the stock shifters are they pretty sloppy? A little more travel isnt too bad if it slides into gear really easy. Slamming the gears is hard on the syncros anyway.

it sure seems like the ratio could be better... just sayin....

Do you think that this could be machined down to be 2" to 3" shorter? (height of stick, not throw)

Your not going to want to go any shorter then this one is. With as short the throw is if you go any shorter on the arm you will lose the comfort zone of leverage. While you may like it, the majority wont. You can always modify yours.

Not really I thought the price was great, the GM version that has never been released wasn't as big of an upgrade and was over $400. I was happy to see this introductory price. But i would of bought it regardless of price. Even is its goes up to $445 thats around the price of the GM one we couldn't get but that shifter didn't shorten the throw as much.

Not going to be a fingertip shifter then like the viper ones?
