Weekend at the Track

Spent sunday at the track, it was the first time that I have raced 1/4 mile, usually only do 1/8. It was so fun though, I recommend everyone try it. Anyone can do it, there were two 70 year old ladies who decided to race there 2006 Buick sedan.
I ran 14.2 seconds @ 95.5 mph, not extremely fast, but not bad for an '85 Chevy truck. Could make this a 12.5 second truck with a bit more work... Its got the motor, just needs the Traction bars, slicks, built rear end, 150hp shot nos. Its in the future IF IT DOES NOT TAKE AWAY FROM MY CAMARO

Not quite Tags 1/4 mile ET of 12.88 @ 109mph, but I still beat a 2002-ish Mustang GT with cold air induction and a few other mods by 6-8 car lengths and smoked a 2007 Mustang GT/CS (never heard of a CS, dont know what it is)
Yes, in the first video, I did spank a Camaro, but I am assuming that it is a work in progress, because i could have turned around and came back before he finished,

Check the link at the bottom to see other pics; crotch rocket drag bike with a polaris engine, sweet 1st gen Z/28, 800hp Oldsmobile Acheiva, a BA Nova- 400hp SB that ran low 11s at 118 mph, buddies Ninja ran 10.66 @ 138mph

will be adding more pics through out the night, including my best time slip.

Great in truck camera view and nice pics all around. What type of camera/mount do you use in the truck?

Just for the record. A Mustang GT/CS is a California Special. I'm pretty sure it's just an appearance package.

I have a Samsung Digimax L85 8MP, not a bad lil camera, picked it up on woot.com for $120, they were $399 at Wal-mart.

Funny you should ask what mount i had... the first run I wedged it under my shift light, but my dash is so armor-all'ed up.... i did my burnout and it was ok, but when i put it down at the light the camera fell off and got wedged between my steering wheel and all you could see was me shifting-- upside down...
so i rolled up about 1.5 inches of duct tape to the bottom of the camera and wedged it back under there and it worked perfect. Did not leave any duct tape residue either.

What has a light side, a dark side, and holds the universe together?

Duct Tape.

Nice setup!

Dark Helmet: [mask down] Not so fast, Lone Starr.
Lone Starr: Helmet. So, at last we meet for the first time for the last time. [thinks about what he said] Yeah.
Dark Helmet: Before you die, there is something you should know about us, Lone Starr.
Lone Starr: What?
Dark Helmet: I am your father's brother's nephew's cousin's former room-mate.
Lone Starr: What's that make us?
Dark Helmet: Absolutely nothing.

Hey man 14.2 @ 95.5 is pretty damn solid for truck. It is actually pretty good in general. What was your 60 ft time? A 14.2 @ 95.5mph seems like you were hooking up pretty good.

A 95.5 mph trap speed is more typical of cars running around a 14.4-14.6 in the quarter.

What is the location of your track?

I'll run ya with my 05 GT
