if i had the money yes i would love to have it! but if i like the 1LE i'll most likely go with that since it has everything the ZL1 has with the motor and blower and it'll be cheaper. still the ZL1 is a great buy

I would not be able to get rid of your car for nothing less than a 911 C2S or above. Going from one Camaro that's built to another that's factory built is not enough to justify the switch to me. If you had a stock SS I would totally understand, but with everything on yours....

My Opinion = Yes. The ZL1 does so much so well. You simply cannot modify it to perform at the same levels (in all aspects) for less. If you could - it'd be a small failure on the part of Chevy... Now....if you're only modifying a few things to achieve a specific goal, like say just a drag monster...that's different... Now wrap that thought all up in a factory warranty that will cover you at the track...it's hard to beat. In my opinion. Of course - this isn't pocket change. A potential buyer should think long and hard about what he/she REALLY intends to use the car for if money is a concern... |

Wait a year and the prices should come down to 35K-40K.

You cannot economically modify an SS to match the ZL1's performance on a road course -- and get the overall balance and refinement that the ZL1 offers. trust me on this. now - get rid of that Mercedes and learn what "Ultra-Grin" is all about!

honestly yes, yes it was indeed, knowing that you have all the comfort, power, and most important safety. It is absolutely worth it. You can always trust that car knowing that almost all of your body has protection. In fact, the rear left tire blew at around 60 MPH once and it didnt feel like anything happened thanks to the run flats.

there is no way the ZL1 will lose that kind of value, unless it's been severely damaged and sold as is. If someone is at a point that they are in a position to sell the vehicle after a year, I'm thinking it will be somewhere in 48k -52 k range depending on condition.

Personally if I had the cash I'd get the zl1 as a second car, I would never trade in my ss cus like others this is my first car and I also have a very strong attachment to it. I don't care to change cars every few months or a year cus something "better" came out. I'm happy and thankful that I have my ss. Congrats to the people that are getting there zl1's

You really can't debate "worth". I am fine going to Outback for a steak, while I have friends that think nothing about dropping $300 at Ruths Chris for a Kobe steak.
Worth is very much dependent on your bank account. |

No mods I could still have got 27-28k at least, it lost 10k of it's value over 3 years. So that figure he mentioned does not add up for 1 year, it wont go down to 40k in a year, maybe in about 4-5 years .
