On the Contrary. MY2008, or MY2009 will be seeing a Turbo Cobalt. The Sport Version ever since they dropped the 'SS' moniker (thank God)

EDIT: not "sport" - my bad. but it IS coming. I just looked around online

The only other thing on the radar now could be something from the Chrysler 300 series, but I haven't really been looking around or researching. Hopefully I wont have to do that research though. =)

You should always research and comparison shop. If you have only one car in mind you could very well miss a far better car, and you're just asking for the dealer to screw you over. Oh, add Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart to my list.

Normally that is a good idea. But this is the Camaro we're talking about. The chances of missing a "far better car" are non-existent. The Camaro is the far better car.

Interesting responses although I knew there would be many Camaro or nothing ones. For me the Camaro is on the top of my list, probably a convertible as I’ve never had one. Other’s I will try (expecting to buy in about 3 years) are (in order):

Nissan GT-R (Used)
Audi S5 (Used)
BMW 135 Coupe (New)
BMW 335i Coupe/Cabrio (Used)
Mitsubishi Evo X (New)

Of those not announced so can’t really put them on the list:

Mazda RX7/9
Toyota Supra

The only serious contender right now (changes often) is the GT-R if prices are reasonable for a 3 year old model. That thing is a beast.
