New Camaro Owner

Just saying hey. Previously owned a 2006 Cobalt SS and went in for a wheel alignment today and walked out with a 2011 Camaro LS. I know..only V6..but hey..upgraded from a 4 banger.

Guy next to my just bought a blue SS camaro..said he wanted the black one. I offered to trade him..but didn't go through

Great car, you WILL love it. Your V6 has 312 HP, nothing to sneeze at there my friend.

Welcome to C5 we're glad to have you aboard. Thankx for sharing the picture - especially since it's pretty much a requirement here!!

yeah..312 pretty nice. My Cobalt had 245..but much ligher lol. Doesn't feel as much get up and go in this car..but thats to be expected..so much heavier.

Of course pics..I love the car so far..got to show it off even if its just base model lol

also..question about the odometer. Is that the number between the gear and door open in the center monitor? At first I thought it was the temperature..but still says 100 even at 8 at night. However..my write up when I bought the car was 142 miles..

Did you add the rims? Doesn't look like an ls to me. Can't go wrong with black though, nice ride.

Rims came with the car. upped the price to 2k

Doesn't say its an LS on the back..but its the V6 and doesn't even have power seats. So im pretty sure its the LS.

What are your thoughts on Gas. I know the base model says 87..will I see any real useful difference doing 91 or 93, or should I just stick with 87.

Welcome & nice move! I just got mine a week and a half ago so kind of new here still.

I am guessing you thought of getting one for a while or was this an actual impulse buy???

Congrats!!!!! Nice upgrade!!!

I love my LS... The V6 has plenty of power, gets great gas milage and looks like a killer!

I just stick with 87 and have seen no negative effects thus far, plus it about $.20 cheaper a gallon...

Enjoy that ride, black ROCKS.... Here is my black LS..

Like the rims on yours . Looks cleaner too..I had the unfortunate storm come an hour or so before I left and after it was detailed. Looks awful with all those spots on it. Not even new looking :(

It was an actual Imulse thing. Of course I always thought about it. I wanted a Challenger SRT8 or an aston martin DBS too never thought id picked them up either haha. I much preferred the V8..but we get what we can get right

Like I said..I just went in for a wheel alignment and a new remote keyless entry (which I wasn't paying 250 for)

But seen it, tested it..found out at 70 dollars more a month..and thinking into the cost of more modding to the Cobalt and future repairs..it wasn't too bad of a deal.

Nice car! No such thing as "only a V6". It is a Camaro and you will love it.

Welcome to the forum, and welcome to Camaro ownership. I also have the LS, and it is a fantastic car. Had mine for two months now, and I still get excited every time I am about to drive it. Passed a young man at an intersection on the way home from work this evening. I was at the stop sign, and he turned left onto the road I was on in a Victory Red LT. Looked brand new. I gave him a smile and a hand extended out the window thumbs up. That boy was grinning ear to ear, and was poking his passenger to look at me giving him a thumbs up from my Imperial Blue Camaro. Made my day, and it seems his too.

So, to our newest Camaro owner, welcome, and..
