Got my Camaro back. GM: Lemon Approved may be Getting the SS - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I got my camaro back with a new engine. It runs great but also have some other news! I got a call from GM customer support saying that they have approved my lemon law 2010 Camaro LT for reinbursment and would call later in the month with more details. They explained I may be getting a settlement of 6K, 33K if they buy back the car with interest and all of my payments, or a new comparible LT. I have been looking around at getting a new 2011 1SS or getting a used 2010 2SS. IF They buy back the loan then I can afford to get a new 1ss with fewer options than what I have now on my LT or I could get a used 2ss. If they replace the car Im not sure If I could swing a trade in but if they give me the 6k then I may be able to trade up. Not sure how much I would get for a 2010 camaro LT/RS loaded with 19000 miles on it...not to mention the whole lemon thing. Just thought I'd share the update with you guys and gals

If it takes a few months maybe you can save up to get the 2SS version.

I'd love to upgrade. But my fiance just mentioned that if they give my 20% of the purchase cost (keeping the car) to use that money towards a down payment on building a house next year.

I hope your fiancée doesn't run your life. Though she does have a smart idea (you'll need more than 20% of a car as a down payment on a house) you should agree with it as well. You went through hell with this car and if GM gives you the option of ditching it you should do what you want to do.

Id shoot for a 2010 2SS because u will miss the features that the 1SS is missing.. is that even possible to upgrade to a different model? do you get the choice or do u have to get the same one?
