Eibach lowering springs

I had my Eibach lowering springs (bought from Autoanything) installed today by Rodgers Chevrolet .

A big THANK - YOU to Becky, Joe and Gerry for taking care of me the way a customer should be treated and taken care of at a dealership.

Fantastic experience while at their location.

Here are some photos from a few months ago before the drop and today after I got home. The kit lowered all four corners 1.25"

A little bit stiffer while driving, you feel the bumps a touch more when comparing the two set-ups. But if it came from the factory this way you would have never known. Certainly not an issue in my book. Handling is probably better but hard to tell since I have not had a chance to push it enough to notice. I mainly did the change for the looks.

Great looking car. I've been very happy with my Eibach springs. Can't go wrong at that price!

DO NOT TRIM!!!!
The instructions tell you to...lowering anything generally requires you to do it whether the instructions tell you to or not.

The dealership did the install. I gave them the Eibach instructions. I do not know if they were trimmed or not.

You do not trim the bumpstops with Eibach. It's in the instructions.

This is NOT true. The instructions in my kit for the SS said to trim.

What's really cool is that after your car was lowered, it made your brake calipers turn a different color!

Another benifit of lowering your Camaro.

Actually the top photo is from May 1st, when I came home from having my windows tinted. The shot of the Camaro lowered is from Oct. 25th when I returned home from the install of the springs. I wanted to capture similar shots to show the difference.

Got the springs on sale from autoanything shipped to the house for 207.00 plus a 20.00 rebate so 187.00 total.

Dealer charged another 359.00 to install and do the alignment.

I got these also and have over 25000 miles on them. They work excellent, got rid of any wheel hop I had, looks sweet, improves handling quite a bit (especially the overstear) and reduces drag on the car!! You cannot loose. Be sure to get an alignment. My instructions said do not cut the bumpstops.

bump to top for those asking me where I got mine done and by whom.

Here is why I cannot reply. Hopefully you find this thread.

Due to technical difficulties I can no longer PM. I can no longer communicate. My own fault. Was caught spamming as it was called. Looking to give V6 guys another forum to communicate about our Camaro’s. We have all made up and moved on. But this other forum is V6 only and not a single bashing has taken place yet.

That wasn't a bus................ it was a 747......... .

Thanks for the compliment. Now if we could just find some more V6 friends to help be on both sites.

I have the Pro-Plus kit, and I must say it holds up well under stressfull/autocross driving. Car was amazing, and I am sure with more experience and slicks for auto-x, it will be even more better. On a side note, no matter tha Mustang the showed up, My camaro smoked em as far as grip, cornering and launch off the corners, poor fords were spinnin their wheels.
